PLANTING DESIGN
This is another way to freshen up an older garden without the cost of a complete makeover by simply changing out the plants.
Careful consideration of plant communities, microclimates, and most effective use of space is applied to your planting plan. You will receive a detailed plan that includes: the placement of the plants, including the species, size, and number of plants to order. Soil amendments may also be recommended.
PLANT SOURCING, PURCHASE, DELIVERY & PLACEMENT
Purchasing the plant material for you insures that you get the correct species and variety as well as the best quality available.

FULL GARDEN DESIGN
THE DESIGN PROCESS
Consultation:
I will meet with you, conduct a walkthrough of your garden, and assist in identifying your specific needs and preferences. This usually requires no more than one to two hours depending on the size of your property and the complexity of the plan. I will email you a questionnaire prior to our meeting to assess your preferences in style, color, plants, and intended to use of space.
Site Survey and Analysis:
I will take measurements of the site in order to create the base plan drawn to scale. Environmental analysis of conditions such as exposure to sun, wind, fog or salt spray, type and quality of soil, will also be conducted.
Rough Design Alternatives:
You will be presented with three to four rough design alternatives from which to create the final design. These may include rendered perspective sketches to help you visualize the concept before making a choice.
Preliminary Plan:
You will receive, hand drafted in plan view, a preliminary plan, and when appropriate, support drawings such as section elevations or perspective drawings. These plans are for bidding purposes and can be read by licensed contractors for installation, or you may choose to do the work yourself. I also offer project management for an hourly fee, and will hire subcontractors for specific parts of the project.
Planting Plan:
You will also receive a planting plan, that includeds the placement of the plants, including the species, size, and number of plants to order.
